The Befriending Service For Young People is a support service for young people (aged 14-21) who are in the process of leaving the care system.
Funded by The Northern Trust, the service operates trust wide and aims to engage the young people in social activities which are enjoyable and confidence building.
From a young person on having a befriender- “The pressure was off and I just got to enjoy the time being out”
From a volunteer about helping- “ It definitely makes me feel good, I think I’m doing some good in the world”
This service is funded by the Northern Health & Social Care Trust.
