Celebrating Liam: Our Employee of the Month
At Praxis Care, our people are at the heart of everything we do. In June, we recognised Liam Kernohan, our Backup and Recovery Engineer, for his consistent performance, positive attitude, and the critical work he delivers.

Liam may work behind the scenes, but his impact is felt across the organisation every day. From monitoring servers and backups to solving technical issues and responding to unexpected challenges, he helps ensure colleagues have the tools and support they need to deliver high-quality services.
A Welcome Surprise
Liam was delighted (and a little surprised) to receive the award.
“I was really grateful to be nominated. A lot of what we do in IT happens in the background, so it’s nice to know that people notice and appreciate it.”
For someone who prefers to let his work speak for itself, the recognition was a meaningful reminder that his contribution is valued across Praxis Care.
How Did He React?
Liam found out he had been named Employee of the Month on a Friday morning. True to form, he got stuck into work and was so focused on the day ahead that he nearly forgot about it altogether!
Supporting Care, One Solution at a Time
Although Liam’s career has always been in IT, joining Praxis Care gave him the opportunity to use his skills for a greater purpose. Knowing that the systems and support he provides help colleagues deliver vital services is what makes the role so rewarding. When asked what he would say to anyone considering a career with Praxis Care, Liam’s advice was simple:
“I’d say go for it. Whether you’re working directly with the people we support or in a support role behind the scenes, you’re still contributing to something meaningful. It’s rewarding to know that the work you do can make a positive difference, and there are plenty of opportunities to learn, grow and develop along the way.”
A Moment of Gratitude
After taking time to reflect, Liam wanted to thank everyone who nominated and voted for him, as well as his colleagues across the organisation.
“The work we do is very much a team effort, and I’ve been lucky to work with supportive people who are always willing to help each other out.”
