We recently hosted our Celebrating Success Awards at the Heart of England Conference Centre in Coventry. The awards ceremony was hosted by Jason Rance, Praxis Care board member.
The event brought together esteemed guests, staff, and finalists. Moreover, it shone a spotlight on the outstanding accomplishments of individuals who overcame challenges and demonstrated exceptional determination. Featuring heartfelt speeches, it celebrated winners in many categories, including Community Involvement, Co-Production, Health and Wellbeing and Praxis Talent.
Significantly, each winner showcased exceptional dedication, resilience and commitment to their communities and personal growth. The ceremony aimed to honour the remarkable achievements and resilience of the people our charity supports.
Highly Competitive
Competition for this sought after award is high. Specifically, finalists must have achieved excellent outcomes that enhanced their quality of life, or the quality of life for others. Furthermore, they must have made significant and measurable progress in the previous year with their individual goals.
Adam Hunt A Winner
Among the deserving winners was Adam Hunt, who received the prestigious Milestone Mastery Award. Indeed, his journey embodies the ethos of Praxis Care. It demonstrated resilience and personal growth. Adam’s schedule is packed with college and community activities. Transitioning to independent living, he is no longer being supported daily by his parents.
Moving out of his family home into Warwickshire Supported Living Service was a huge step. Still, Adam embraced his new lifestyle with enthusiasm. Despite the massive change in his life, every outcome hoped for in his first year on his own was achieved. He built meaningful relationships with his support team, learned how to upkeep his home and does his shopping.
Milestone Mastery Award
Adam’s recognition, with the Milestone Mastery Award, highlights our commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve their full potential. His determination, along with support from his family and staff team around him, is an example to everyone of what can be done with the right attitude and persistence.
