A group of young people had a very special day out, following an invitation from His Excellency Michael D Higgins to Áras an Uachtaráin.
They enjoyed a meal and dancing at the event.
These young adults regularly attend Praxis Care’s Mulhuddart Day Service. The Service provides enriching activities from Monday to Friday for people with intellectual disabilities and autism.
Last week, the President and Sabina Higgins hosted a Garden Party in celebration of Irish heritage. As well, it celebrated individuals who dedicate their lives to making a positive impact within their communities. Our young people were included in the President’s guest list for the garden party event.
Hannah Doyle (pictured right) was honoured to introduce herself to the President and adds: “I felt happy inside when I met his wife Sabrina”.
