The Praxis Lurgan Mental Health Garden Project is underway, as Lurgan DISH are raising funds for Praxis Lurgan mental health and learning disability services. These funds will be directed into the development of a beautiful garden space, for all to enjoy, within the grounds of Mount Zion House. This renovated space will provide a safe area, that will be peaceful and beautiful.
Lurgan DISH is a Praxis Care service offered in collaboration with Supporting People, Southern Health and Social Care Trust, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive and the South Ulster Housing Association.
This past year has been extremely difficult and it has created a solitairy existence for many. The Praxis Lurgan Mental Health garden project will bring people together again, to laugh, socialise, chat and feel part of the community. Ultimately, the end goal is to create a reflective, therapeutic and relaxing space that people can visit on their own or within a group for years to come.
The volunteers working on this project have done a fantastic job so far as the garden is already taking shape. The benefits that will be provided by this safe space will be priceless and if you can help out in anyway, it will make a massive difference to the individuals who use the garden. A donation of any size will make a positive impact to the project and we greatly appreciate it.
