Yet again, a Northern Ireland awards ceremony honoured our staff. Praxis Care were finalists in two categories at the prestigious CO3 Leadership Awards 2023 on Sunday, 23rd of March, in the Europa Hotel, Belfast.
Chief Officers 3rd Sector (CO3)
Established in 1985, CO3 is Northern Ireland’s leadership organisation for Chief Officers in the Third Sector. Their 760+ members range from leaders of some of the largest charities and social enterprises, through to small community groups.
CO3 is committed to promoting and developing leadership in the third sector in Northern Ireland. The Leadership Awards are a testament to this commitment. The third sector includes voluntary and community organisations (both registered charities and other organisations such as associations, self-help groups and community groups), social enterprises, mutuals and co-operatives.
CO3 Annual Leadership Awards 2023
The leadership awards provide an opportunity and platform to acknowledge the great leaders that exist in our sector.
Wellbeing Champion Award
This award is brand new for 2023; it’s designed to highlight the value of developing a strategic approach to wellbeing, embedding a culture of wellbeing in organisations, and to celebrating best practice.
Aidan Daly Shortlisted
HR and Corporate Services Director, Aidan Daly, was shortlisted as one of Northern Ireland’s leaders in the charity sector for wellbeing. Along with his team, he implemented changes to benefits, innovative solutions, and development opportunities for our staff that made him stand out in the charity sector. (These efforts also produced a win for Praxis earlier this month as “Employer of the Year” at the National Learning Disabilities and Autism Awards Northern Ireland.)
Team up and Save the Day Award
This award recognises the importance of team work within and between organisations. It celebrates and acknowledges those who are leading the way with partnership working and effective teamwork.
Dr. Anne Johnston And David Sutherland, Shortlisted
David Sutherland, Property department, and Dr. Anne Johnston, Research department, partnered across their two departments to create bespoke homes for people we support. Their work got them shortlisted as an example of successful working partnerships.
