Glenfield and Melton services offer bespoke respite provision for children and young people with learning disabilities, PMLD and associated physical and behavioural complexities. They have been providing high-quality overnight short breaks since 2002, consistently rated ‘good’ by Ofsted.
“My daughter loves to attend the respite service. She has made new friends and started interacting more with the other young people, which had always been a concern for me. She reacts very well to the staff and as time has gone on, she has become more familiar with staff and other young people alike.”

The services are co-located at a purpose-built site in Glenfield, Leicester. Children and young people ages 6 to 18 with learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge or complex health conditions can benefit from well-trained and caring staff in the fully accessible, homely and adaptable buildings. The services are COVID-compliant to ensure the safety of the children, their families and staff.
Two spot purchase beds are currently available for respite bookings.
