On November 28th, Praxis Care hosted its annual Volunteer Celebration at the stunning Belfast Castle, where the incredible contributions of volunteers were honoured. The event was a heartfelt tribute to the 80+ volunteers from across the Praxis Care network who make a profound impact in the lives of those supported by the charity.
The celebration was attended by Deirdre Carr, Regional Director of Care and Development for Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man, who joined the occasion to highlight the importance of volunteer contributions in strengthening the services Praxis Care provides across the region.
This year’s celebration featured moving speeches from three volunteers, who shared their personal experiences and the rewarding nature of volunteering with Praxis Care. Their stories underscored the deep impact that volunteering can have, not only on those supported by the services but also on the volunteers themselves.
Ian Cardwell, Volunteer Manager, expressed, “Praxis Care takes great pride in showing thanks to the dedicated volunteers who help make the charity’s mission a reality. Their selflessness and commitment are vital in supporting those in care, and events like this provide the opportunity to express deep gratitude for their ongoing contributions.”
Sincere thanks were extended to all volunteers for their dedication, as well as to those who joined in honouring this amazing community of care. With the continued support of volunteers, Praxis Care will continue working towards its mission of creating as independent a lifestyle as possible for those supported.
