2022 Quality Conference And Staff Awards

Our first Quality Conference since 2019 was held in North Dublin and combined with the 2022 Staff Awards. Managers, heads of operations, directors and other supporting staff were in attendance, as well as some Board members and presenters from Ballina Day Service.

CEO Andy Mayhew thanked managers and their teams for keeping people safe during the pandemic; recognising that, in the most difficult of circumstances, they also significantly expanded and improved our services. Managers also participated in an open Q&A with the Senior Leadership Team, raising issues of concern and opportunities.

We had three really inspiring showcase presentations from Ballina Day Services, Foyle Mental Health and Kaleidoscope. Each unique, all innovative and with a strong emphasis on putting the people we support at the centre through a co-production approach. We were joined by the Ideas Alliance who encouraged and challenged us to take the next steps on embedding co-production into the organisation.

That recognition of excellence continued through the Staff Awards ceremony in the evening, compered by Aidan Daly and presented by Board Chair Ken Brundle. There were a record number of nominations this year, highlighting the quality being delivered by staff individually and within teams.

We look forward to this revived annual tradition to continue in 2023!
