A Praxis Care support worker who has consistently gone above the call of duty has reached the finals of the Derry Journal Bet McLean People’s Awards as Carer of the Year. Lynn Holden specialises in caring for people with dementia at Praxis Care’s Foyle Floating Support Service in Derry/Londonderry.
Manager Tracey Devenney says she is delighted for Lynn. “All of us in Praxis Care are rooting for Lynn. She is the personification of care and we are very proud to work with her. We are particularly pleased that she has received this recognition as a finalist. Winning it would be a bonus!” says Ms Devenney.
The Derry Journal Bet McLean People Awards, postponed due to Covid restrictions for the last two years, will be announced at a gala dinner in the Everglades Hotel on 30th September.
